Well, I have to admit that I was a little disappointed in last nights show. The opening was AWESOME. Totally blindsided both my wife and I. Who would have thunk it? But then the endless commercial breaks came, and came and came again. I half joking told my wife we were watching commercials, only to be interupted by LOST. I think that ABC is now getting their ad revenue!

The story line is interesting, and will take some time to flesh out. It seems the Others are very, very good at what ever they do. Being able to compile so much data on Jack makes me sure that they have contact outside the walls of the island. I am not sure what I think about this development; will have to see how it goes.

I did like the bit about Sawyer being in a cage, in fact all of them are in some sort of Zoo. AHHHHHHHH that is where the Polar Bears came from. Now it is not so mysterious is it? There is a zoo... Now we just have to figure out what ate the pilot in the first episodes. What kind of beast did Dharma grow ala Jurassic Park.

Incidently, in the Chicago Tribune yesterday they talked about some summer promotion that Lost did on the internet. Turns out that the #'s are somehow related to Doomsday, and that Dharma was working to stave off the extinction of man, and the numbers played a part. Wondering if anyone else has seen info on that?

Well, can't wait for next week. I just hope they cool the commercial time.

POTENTIAL SPOILERS!!!!! ("potential" because who the hell really knows whats going on)

the numbers info was about the sequence of numbers developed by some guy named valenzetti that relates to the wallmap. a zone on the island is marked as being of "low relevance to Valenzetti-related research activity". it also shows "CV" and then the numbers which is supposed to mean "core value" and then 4815162342 is a numeric representation of the end of the world. its off of the link that FA posted on that "other" lost thread

a book was written about valenzetti by gary troup, the guy who wrote Bad Twin (the manuscript sawyer was reading on the beach).

also from the lost site link:
"When looking at the maps he stole from Rousseau's dugout, Sayid says, "These equations are like nothing I have ever seen before." The equations he is referring to may be related to the Valenzetti Equation. "

Is this zoo on the map that was on the ceiling?

Karl (was that his name) was a plant. He got Sawyer to give up on trying to get away. My guess is that he will turn up again later as one of the Others.

Benry doesn't seem well liked by the other Others. He's still my pick for the next to go. He strikes me as a guy who was once very well mannered but was thrust into a situation that has has made him harder, and ready to do whatever is needed to get his job done (whatever that may be). He knew Juliet wouldn't drown. But he didn't let her in on what he was doing. Pissed her off a little, but she looked like she kinda half expected him to do something like that. It's all part of his plan to get Jack to bond with her.

    I once was Lost...

...but now (thanx to GM) am found...so I'll put this here where it belongs:

    What's up...

...with the others? Thought it was some sort of flashback (in the sense of individual backstory)...where do these people think they are Club Med?

Looks like were into the rats-in-a-maze concept again...

All I know is that Fake Henry, Ben or whatever his name is, is truly deserving of soft tissue damage followed up by a regimen of Channel-locks to the digital joints...

jimHJJ(...just has that sort of face don't he?...)
Hello, I'm a misanthrope...don't ask me why, just take a good look around.

"Men would rather believe than know" -Sociobiology: The New Synthesis by Edward O. Wilson

"The great masses of the people...will more easily fall victims to a great lie than to a small one" -Adolph Hitler

"We are never deceived, we deceive ourselves" -Goethe

If you repeat a lie often enough, some will believe it to be the truth...
