A Half Done Homemade mixed Bag disc

Since I get XM through AOL Radio & direct tv thru audio ins to receiver , been listening to deep tracks, amazed what those folks come up with in their rotations. So far inspired me to dump some vaultish tracks onto a disc.

half done with it it's a mood thing
tell me what you stink!!! Regards Lifers

Go Back Home -Steve Stills 1 (Clapton on 2nd guitar)
Almost Cut My Hair- David Crosby C,S,N & Y
Wild Fire -Spooky Tooth (from vinyl)
Wake Me -Shake Me- Blues Project (Al Kooper)
Barabajagal-Donovan (Jeff Beck group backup 68-69)
Hey Joe - Love (stereo mix)
    I've Been Working -Van Morrison
Shake Your Love - Climax Blues Band
Cut Across Shorty- Rod Stewart (remastered box set)
    Gallows Pole -Zepplein
Gloria- Hendrix & Exp ( 9 min version).
    more to come ....Looking at some Spirit, CCR,?? , CTA (Chicago1) B,S & T w/ A. Kooper,
maybe another Love tune from 1st lp, some Luna 23 minutes in brussels, and Faces -3 Button Hand me down are picked , but it's fluid - mood muzak!!! Later folks
Just thought I'd throw my 5 cents in ...

A fine album that I've been enjoying lately.

    before that...

I think that the boys from Boise have really hit their stride with this one. better than "Ancient Melodies..." with taht jammy feel that they do so well.

    and before that...

    AKA Davey's Mystery Disc II

This came as a really pleasant surprise to me. This is not how I imagined My Morning Jacket to sound like. Much poppier sounding than I would have thought with a early Who vibe on some songs. I like this album a lot, (we won't talk about Mystery Disc I & III, because I am a believer in "if you haven't anything good to say....")

All the trappings of summer are evident this day--fresh squeezed orange juice in the a.m., a light breeze skampers through the trees as the sun lazily arcs toward its apex, and young ladies in sheer dresses...ah, summer days in the city.

Now spinning: Diana Krall~The Girl In The Other Room

Crazy from the heat and red like a lobster

Feeling quirky and settling into the evening with Medeski,Martin,&Wood~Note Bleu currently doing the honors.

PS. Much thanks to Dave for mentioning the All The Roadrunning disc. I would've never known it was out and probably wouldn't have looked for it all week. Thanks again...

    Cheers to all

Having trouble getting motivated this morning, so it's strong coffee and Robben Ford & The Blue Line....very, very loud!

This disk is one of my reference disks I use when trying out new components, sound quality and dynamics are outstanding. It's also a must have for any blues fan.

Moving on to another must have -

Sara K. ~ Are We There Yet?

Classified as folk, but don't let that fool you. These songs are as much the blues as they are folk - laid back blues maybe?

" 'Are We There Yet' is the live and long-awaited 2002 Sara K. concert recorded in Germany, produced and engineered by Guenter Pauler of Stockfisch Records, using the Nautilus 801 speaker systems. This recording is, by far, the best live recording of Sara K. to date. Listeners will be pleased with the intimate captivation of her unique bluesy, jazzy, smoothe and dusty voice and style ~~ featuring Chris Jones on guitar. - CDBaby Notes"

Good choice to get motivated Dave. Robben Ford played loud should do it.
I am heading for weekend territory with:

    "James - Laid".

    Just right for the moment.

    Have a good one

Well the critics didn't like this one, but I did and that's all that matters to me -

    Good morning

Blasting into the weekend in atypical fashion with Hurt~Vol.1. I saw these guys live on St. Patrick's Day, and assumed that they were a very talented local act. Wrong. Evidently, the drummer is related to everyone in Hollywood whose ever touched a mixing board and the vocalist suffers from some type of Bible-belt oppression malaise. Both are apparent on this release. Dark, brooding, dynamic...

    Cheers

Continuing on with my Jazz journey/education. Tonight's lineup includes a first spin of McCoy Tyner ~ S/T with Stanley Clarke and Al Foster (Telarc DSD SACD) and Jim Hall with Joe Lovano, George Mraz, and Lewis Nash ~ Grand Slam (Telarc); and then on to a revisit with John Coltrane ~ Lush Life and Miles Davis ~ Kind of Blue.

Sounds like a great evening to me, I must say.
