In a HHGREG flyer all of the plasmas were more than the lcds.
At walfart the plasmas were cheaper, but 720P.
IF a plasma is cheaper its being subsidized ...
THEY cost more to make.
And dont forget, TWICE as much to run, so over the (short) life of one they will burn more juice
