    Question Klipsch Reference Power Handling?

I'm looking to upgrade to something like a Deonon AVR-2805 and to put some Klipsch Reference 25s or 35s to go with it.

My question is this: Is it OK to have an amp that outputs more than your speakers are rated to handle?

In the Klipsch RF-25 and 35 series, all speakers handle 125 watts max continuous, except the RS-25 surrounds only handle 75w max continuous (but 300w peak). Will this be a problem, when the amp puts out 100w per channel (@ 8 ohms)?

On the other side of the coin, should I look at a bigger amp for 125w speakers?

For the Klipsch listeners out there: Is it a real sin to mix product lines? Are they that timbre-matched that it matters? Because I know Klipsch speakers can be particular to positioning, etc.

PS: My ears are completely sold on the Klipsch, but I'm open on the receiver--I've just read a lot of good things about Denon's product line.

Thanks in advance to any advice

Stop looking at power handling. Your amp will proabably never even put out 100 watts in it's life, and if it does your ears couldn't handle it. You don't need more power either, you're perfect. These are just guidelines and nothing more. Everytime you double the power, the volume increases 3 dB...barely audible. Most of your listening will be done at less than a watt, and with Klipsch speakers power should be the least of your worries.
