I'm looking to upgrade to something like a Deonon AVR-2805 and to put some Klipsch Reference 25s or 35s to go with it.

My question is this: Is it OK to have an amp that outputs more than your speakers are rated to handle?

In the Klipsch RF-25 and 35 series, all speakers handle 125 watts max continuous, except the RS-25 surrounds only handle 75w max continuous (but 300w peak). Will this be a problem, when the amp puts out 100w per channel (@ 8 ohms)?

On the other side of the coin, should I look at a bigger amp for 125w speakers?

For the Klipsch listeners out there: Is it a real sin to mix product lines? Are they that timbre-matched that it matters? Because I know Klipsch speakers can be particular to positioning, etc.

PS: My ears are completely sold on the Klipsch, but I'm open on the receiver--I've just read a lot of good things about Denon's product line.

Thanks in advance to any advice
