I don't think that Michael was told to kill Ana-Lucia. I think that Ms. Clue only told him to free Henry and that she didn't care how he did it.

On the plane thing...Like Beefy said, I wouldn't put much stock into the speed in which it made TV.
Last year there was a drunk passenger on a flight over the atlantic, and it made National news here even before it landed and they were showing all kinds of footage. Since Sept 11, anything related to air planes can be a big story really quick...
Still, I can totally see the time warp thingy coming....

Juliet's only ticket off the island is the "Others". Even with the sub destroyed, she knows they are the only ones who have the knowledge to get off the island. She will always side with the "Others" as long as they are her only ticket off the island. The sub was the only way off because it could go under water to avoid all the weird magnetic/electrical/impulse/whatever fields that keep the island hidden. Even it seems to have trouble getting through to the island with the rough ride Ethan spoke of. Now that the reactor thing is gone, I wonder how visible they are? Desmond's former fiance will show up soon.

HAHAHA My wife HATES Lost. I have to watch in another room when it's on. It drives her crazy that she can't figure out what's going on. Whenever she walks in and sees that I have it on she says, "Umpf.. that show sucks." and storms out.

Its our own fault you know. You just can't keep Lost fans happy. Seasons 1 and 2, the fans all complained about the high number of repeats. So in Season 3 the producers responded by saying, "okay no repeats, but we'll have to divide the season into two mini-seasons". A good compromise, yes? Well, actually, No. Now the fans are complaining about the break between the first and second part of the season. So, what's the next step? One solid continuous flow...no repeats, no break. But a later start to the season. ...and now we'll all complain about that.
Go back to the S2 thread and you'll see that we all wanted Lost to be run like 24. Well, now it is...and we'll all have to live with it. :prrr:
Look on the bright side...now we have time to watch the DVDs of all the previous seasons before S4 begins.
-
Well ya can't please all the people all the time, but they're sure pleasing me all the time and that's all that matters. Season 4 should be the craziest yet as we're finally getting somewhere - damn right I'l be there.
But count me in on the DVR camp - sometimes I'm outta town or just too tired, so I watch it early in the morning before work just so I can get in on the Lost thread by Thursday at noon :D
-
Why can't they just do what 90% of the shows out there have done for years? Show us 24 new ep's in a row, then start over for anyone who missed one. At the end of that you show a few favorites and it's back to new again.
-
Isn't it Wednesday yet? Is tonight the night we find out that Lockie is working with the Others? Will we get some Benry flashbacks? What's his history? Will we meet anyone from Darma? Will the smoke show up? Can Rin Tin Tin save little Tommy from the raging river in time to save Mary from the train too? Or will he piss on Tommy and $c&ew Mary? Will these stupid questions neven end? Will Worf hunt me down and skin me like a cat? Stay tuned for tonight's show. But for now, it's snack time. Only 352 minutes left till show time folks.

Another show full of "Filler"
I didn't need to see "When Desi Met Penny". Sigh, ho hum. I know, we've knocked off all the "hot babes" lets introduce another. Can you say lame ass plot twist...
Urrgh...

Hey, the Island can turn White folks Black...
Who knew?

West Point would be interested in that.

Whoa!...
...way to go in the attention grabbing department...Thought Charlie's luck had finally run out...
OK, so the de-frocked bro Desmond (didn't even know he'd been frocked in the first place) pulls off the helment thinking his Penny has turned up...SURPRISE...who the F is this one and how does she know who he is?
I just wish they'd get past all this sexual tension cr@p w/Jack/Sawyer/Freckles/Juliet and start coming up with some decent story continuity...We want polar bears, lethal smoke clouds, something!...ANYTHING...

I think the point of the show is NOW the outside world knows where the island is. I think the explosion of the hatch has caused whatever cloaking device to not work.
If 1 helicopter can find the island, more will come. Especially if Desmonds sugar momma is financing the operation.
BTW what is the range of a helicopter? I think the Sea Kings like the Coast Guard use can go around 400 miles. So where is the heli based? Surely they are not using mid-flight refueling, as that is a military process, and it does not appear to be a military operation.
This is where Juliet will come into play. Won't Benry be interested to know that the outside world is making forays into the "Others World".

How about a polar bear in a smoking jacket with poker cards and dragging Goldilocks behind him (in her birthday suit)?
-
Didn't...

Eh, I liked this episode just fine. Kind of a teaser/setup episode, and much like reading a good book, this chapter totally abandonned the whole Juliet/Henry angle, but that'll come in good time.
Love the bickering about Flash and Superman. And Sawyer and "mix tape" line. I'm guilty of making mixed tapes in my youth - I can't believe how something so stupid was able to earn me brownie points...damn, if it only it was still that easy....

Yes, the bickering was pretty funny.
And I happened upon a "mix tape" that I had made the wife way back in college. It was a little dusty, and sounded horrible. I wonder how I ever managed to get another date after I dropped that one off.
BTW mixing is still the best way to earn brownie points. Now though its the things you mix...such as Tequila, or Vodka, or even Gin. And throw in some nice food...well you get the point.

i'm still sticking with my cloaked/other-dimension/bermuda triangle theory on where the island is. that helicopter was coming through just fine, just like the plane was, flying over the island when... poof, it started making noises and crashes into the ocean.
just like when we saw the plane travelling overhead and breaking up for no reason other than desmond not pushing the button and causing another incident.
so what made the helicopter crash so close to the island? maybe the incident has permanently released whatever it was that caused flight 815 to crash so anything in the neighborhood is gonna come down like a ton of bricks ala bermuda triangle myth.
ps. also a freakin' brilliantly written story of desmond. i didn't think it was filler at all, but really showed how tragic his story is and how beautiful. each point is mirrored perfectly in his life with each decision he HAS to make. he's not a coward at all, and yet those that love him or are closest to him think he is because only he has the info that he has that he can't reveal (just like with charlie).
the sacrifice abraham story was brilliant to. because abraham was willing to sacrifice isaac and would have, but god saved isaac. is that what the island is telling desmond? you must be willing to let go of trying to save charlie and have faith that charlie will NOT die. Since abraham (i believe) was down to the second of bringing that knife to his son's neck before the angel intervened, that's what desmond may have to do too... let go of charlie..
