I suppose you don't want him to have any facts on this issue? No ideas how he should listen so bias will not be an issue and have an unreliable comparison that is meaningless. Why didn't you explain the worthlessness of sighted listeing to determine audible differences? Your ommission is noted and you offered him no help by ommission of important information.
