Good morning to you, too. Sunday morning - the most laid back time of the week.

Now spinning on the 'table: Maiden Voyage - Herbie Hancock

    Hey Deano-Luv ya babe...

I never, ever had ocassion to use those words before...
Love the Herbie Hancock. I'm hearing tale of a relatively new SACD release of HH doing Gerschwin? I look into that later in the week and report back. Maiden Voyage is a classic in its own right.

NS: Guiseppe Sinopoli/NYPO~Wagner's Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg

    Good listening to all

Hello everybody. Man just finished four 15 hour days in Scotland. Ahh the beauty of working for yourself.
Anyway onwards and upwards and I hope you are all well.
A relaxing evening ahead with some 35 year old Malt Whisky and some steaming toones.
    And starting of:

"Muddy Waters - the best off"

A speakers corner re-release and absolutly outstanding and far superior to the original release. Don't know what those guys at Speakers Corner are doing but it sounds damn good. Oh dear the Rye juice is taking effect. Have a good one.

    Peace

Well look what the cat dragged in...

Good day to you friend Bernd. I thought I was the only one crazy enough to work hours like that! I hope the trip was both lucrative and satisfying. Single malts,eh--you hittin' the Laphroig sir?

Little bit fragile today and to top that had a musician friend round last night to listen to his latest recording (very New Wave). So here we go with the theme:

"Talking Heads - Speaking in Tongues"

"Stan Ridgway - Holiday in Dirt".

Mark I hope all is well with you and have a good one, one and all.

    Peace

    Bernd

Enjoying a day in the sun...

A few too many late evenings here has led to the need to kick back on this, the first genuinely tranquil day in quite some time. Kicking into gear with a first spin of Pearl Jam. I was pretty cynical and content not to by this album, but ifirst impressions support the hype. The boys are back...

    Cheers to a beautiful day

I saw your post and thought it had been too long since I listened to it. I think it is very good. It is more Gershwin interpreted. Very jazzy with nice vocals by Joni Mitchell on two of the songs. Well recorded with a good lineup of artists.

Cold, windy and sunny more like a clear winters day. What is going on?

So we have on the round table:

    "Richmond Fontaine - The Fitzgerald".

Good Morning to all. Time to spin some black wax.

I'm going to start my day with Teddy Wilson in Tokyo, by T.W. And maybe some easy mono recordings by Ms Holiday. Nothing special, just perfect tune for friday morning.

    Have a great weekend

    Good morning all

This holiday weekend is underway with clear skies and no worries. Found a new hifi shop located a mere four miles from me--two floors of listening rooms and toys and a third floor with all the cds/lps/sacds a guy could dream of. Life just got more expensive...

Now spinning: Wynton Marsalis~Live at the House of TribesThis is a great live album!!

Cheers and good times to all,

It's Sunday morning and the sound of:

"Harry Manx - Wise and Otherwise"

    fills the air.

Well, across town it is "Race Day" with all the accompanying fanfare. At the end of the day it's still cars going around a circle many many times, and so, I choose a more tranquil lot with [B]Donald ***en's~[I]Morph the Cat
