I ditto both of JSE's suggestions

Damn that Abita Amber is a fine beer, not so Turbo Dogs. Also, we too keep lots of Shiner Bock in the garage fridge. Check out Sams, they might have it, or Kroger. Avoid the Shiner Blonde.

A nice stout I'ce had recently would be McKesson's (sp?) XXX Triple Stout. Had it at a beer tasting last weekend, it was generally praised by the guys, the girls wanted to barf, so thats a pretty good recommendation IMHO. Not as bitter and heavy as Turbo Dog or Guiness, pretty smooth actually.
Do I have to spell it out?

Bummer, I just checked and Boulevard Brewing Co. doesn't go any farther west than Kansas. They have their Pale Ale as their flagship product and it would have been perfect for your follow up. This time of year they also produce their Nutcracker Ale described as:" Nutcracker Ale is Boulevard's special offering for the holiday season. This hearty, warming brew is a classic winter ale, deep amber in color, with hints of molasses balanced by the "spiciness" of Chinook hops."

Availablity can be found here: http://www.blvdbeer.com/product_set.html

Mmmmmm, that does look good, Jimbo. Six pack in a box, cool

Did you upload that pic from your computer? Because if it was on the web already you don't have to attach it (which loads a copy onto this server), just use the img /img tags with [] or click the image box on the toolbar to do it automatically. Of course, some sites don't allow third party links so you'd have to attach the image here. But what do I care, anyway?

I drink like a fish so I drink Michelob Light.

I usually drink 45 beers a day, too.

Yes, I saved the pic to my HD and then uploaded it from there. This was my first attempt at adding a pic and if you can see it I'm happy. I finally just figured out the old board, now they go and change it. I'll go back later and try to figure out what your instructions are and try that next time around. Thanks for the pointer.

Hehehe, good luck. They don't even make sense to me!

Seriously, just go down to the Forum Rules box and click on either vB code or [IMG] which will take you to the how to page at http://forums.audioreview.com/misc.php?do=bbcode. There is also an "Insert Image" icon in the formatting toolbar above the text box when typing your post to make it even easier. Have fun.

    I'm a simpleton

I like my beer to taste like beer, not honey or cherry or whatever. I also prefer lagers and my fave is Hofbrau Muchin lager. Their Oktoberfest lager is good too, although I'll take the plain ole lager if given a choice (can't always find it ). They have a bit of bite yet manage to stay smooth.

I guess I like the common stuff mostly:
    Sam Adams (any variety)
    Heiney
    Fosters (ND )
    Corona
Harp (about as "hoppy" as I'll go)
    Becks

    ~Slosh - snowed in and sippin' a Fosters with tentoze's mighty fine alt/country-tinged year-end comp a spinnin'

Just trying the click on the "insert image icon". I think the other looks way to hard for me. If it works, thanks. If not, thanks for trying.

Have you tried Sam Adam's Winter Lager?

It's one of my favorites and, while it's not exactly motor oil, it does have a full-bodied flavor and is perfect for this time of year. Then again, you're out in sunny AZ while I'm in frozen PA, so maybe you could give two sh**s about "Winter Lager". My other favorites are all local micro-brews that you can't buy out there, so there's no point in mentioning them.

Tonight it's Pirates of the Carribean and some Sam's Winter Lager for me.

    Regards,
    Swish Baby
I call my bathroom Jim instead of John so I can tell people that I go to the Jim first thing every morning.

    Rogue it is mate

I also give a thumbs up to the Rogue Porter, Stout, or Dead Guy Ale (depending on your preference). And while not new, Mr. Adams stays stocked in my garage refrigerator.

Hope it is warm and sunny in the desert. It's cold and rainy, almost snowy, here.
