Buy a case of beer full price, get a coupon for a FREE case in a week, that reduces the price of your beer by half.
Its a real benefit, thats why people partake in it.
When you took a pic of your brains to make that avatar, did you by chance forget to put them back in?
Doesnt matter what the price is for the movies and the player seperately, what matters is the outlay for the whole package
Still not the same as buying a PS3 for under $300. What if you didn't want any movies?
    You still paid $400.

Dude, the PS3 is a game player. Many people who buy them don't give two squats about HD movies. Also, have you seen the list of "free" movies available? I wouldn't pay a dime for most of them.
Now, I'm not saying that it's not a good deal. It's just not the same as getting a PS3 for under $300.
You should see that too. Unless that crack pipe of yours has been working overtime. Again...

The deals on the 60BG's are starting. http://news.punchjump.com/article.php?id=5001
But still not good enough. I want to see three free items at 449.00 or I'll just go with the 80GB bundle.

YOU misunderstand, I am talking about a MOVIE PLAYER, Sonys new 499$ blu ray player , which I saw on sale for 399. Who said anything about a PS3?
I wouldn't have any of that game console crap hooked up to my system.
    I am a grownup.
Now, once again check the crack pipe at the door, try to stick to red dagger like a good wino while here, kay?

The PS3 is a better BR player than most of the BR players are. Do some research.

I see no signs of this.

The PS3 is an excellent Blu-ray player. I work for SonyDADC and perform most of their DVD copy-protection in the US. As part of the process we have a Media Test Center which checks the compatibility of every protected DVD title which comes through the plant on as many as 100 different DVD players. The center also checks every Blu-ray title and has every Blu-ray player on the market. By far the PS3 is the fastest, best quality, most reliable player of the bunch.

I don't play games, never had the free time. I just purchased an 80GB PS3 and couldn't be happier. It's the hub of my Home Theater and provides a lot of convergence convenience (say that fast five times). I just wish Sony still had their Outlet Store so I could purchase discounted discs. Where does everyone here buy their discs?

    NOWHERE.
I am tired of being a pioneer, especially with a device that is more evolutionary than revolutionary.
I paid 425 bucks for a DVD player with just s-vhs.
700 bucks for a HI-FI vcr with no stereo tuner because thay didnt have stereo TV back then, (ever hear of simulcasting)
AND I have a closet full of LASERDISCS
AND dont even mention SVHS (and you can double the prices due to inflation)
When the price is 200 bucks for a blu-ray (THE NEXT FORMAT) then lets talk.
AND I spit down your crack pipe "dude"

I bargain hunt and have paid about $15 or less for most of my titles. I hit up places like:

Frys.com - Just had a bunch of titles for $9.99
Deepdiscountdvd.com - 20% off sale coming soon + free shipping
Warnerbros.com - you can usually find a discount code for 20% or even 30% off + free shipping.
Amazon.com - Usually got some type of sale going

You must have just missed out on the Disney B1G1 sale going on everywhere. DVDtalk.com has a "bargains" section in there HD forums. Some good deals are usually listed there.
