Furthermore, I think that we can all agree that discussions regarding race, religion, class, or any other similarly categorical qualities should be left out of an open forum. It rarely ever leads to anything good and you never know who is reading.

Those aforementioned "labels", I took to be an attack on class. I find it very difficult to tolerate and had to comment and will continue to comment (at least until someone removes me).

At this point, its probably best if we just moved on.

You know, you should not be so quick to draw your gun. It is obvious that you misunderstood this so called "label", as no others seem to take it like you do. I already said that I didn't mean it as a slight, but you continue to take it that way. You took it as an attack(only God knows why), and I meant it as a buyer distinction, not anything based on class. Some very wealthy people shop at both Costco and Walmart, so this attack on class you mention is your lack of understanding that in fact ALL classes shop at these places. They may not buy electronics there, but they do shop there. Perhaps this "class" filter is effecting how you interpret things, making every comment negative. You might want to check that filter, because I am not going to change how I write, or what I write to accomodate a personal filter.

Actually the article said there was a chasm between the bottom three and the top two.

The Vizio was really in the middle of the pack, not "at the bottom",
Another lie by you. It was tied for the bottom, the LG has more stars in overall performance, it was in the middle. That is what you look at, not what you are looking at(whatever that is)

and it did beat Toshiba, your brand of choice.
Another lie on your behalf. Toshiba is not my brand of choice, I have no brand of choice. My brand of choice is called best equipment performance. That can come in any brand

So I wouldnt't gloat, these types of "comparisons are exercises in splitting hairs to
    the extreme.
No they are not splitting hairs. It is a comprehensive evaluation on how the product performs. The Vizio AND the Toshiba finished at the bottom of the pack. Not surprising for Vizio, that is where they always are. That is not the case for Toshiba, but it is apparent their electronics division has lost their way post HD-DVD.

This statement simply has a negative undertone to it. I can't spin it in a positive way no matter what.

Everyone should use the filter that exists between the brain and their fingers whenever typing

Sorry then, but this is your problem, not mine. I guess that filter is too strong for you to overcome

Everyone should use the filter that exists between the brain and their fingers whenever typing
Everyone should also understand that not everyone's filter is the same, or even defeatable in some as you demostrate.

Did you read this before you posted it? You clearly say that "Everyone should use the filter that exists between the brain and their fingers whenever typing" and then say, " I'll comment as I see fit."

Do you not see the contradiction here?

This must be some kind of joke coming from you. The king of the brainless wonders

It beat the Toshiba, not by much, but it beat it.
You are attempting to re-write the test results, it came in dead last according the panels individual comments.

Vizio is never going to get a chance in such industry sponsered "tests because its brought
the price of TV sets down to a decent level
What industry sponsored this test? It looks to me like a magazine performed the test, not the industry. It brought the price of TV sets down by cutting performance in favor of price. The results of this test mimic's exactly what the Digital Television lab in Hollywood results after they performed their testing on many more televisions than this test included. They tested over forty models, and Vizio's entire line of TV's finished dead last in their test. So dropping your head in the sand is not going to change reality.

You have several pieces of toshiba equipment, including that imaginary projector of yours,

Get your facts straight stupid, I own a two Sony G-90 projectors, not a toshiba. All that is left of Toshiba's parts on my RPTV is the cabinet and Toshiba badge, and that is it. Funny, you have never been to any of my houses, so how can you claim to know what I have? This is probably why you got this wrong, one of so many things you get wrong.

The fact that you keep buying such a nediocre brand says vollumes about your quest for
    quality
Man, you are really a dense individual. Toshiba was the ONLY manufacturer making HD-DVD players, hence why I have their players. I do have more than one hometheater, hence why I bought three. Since my HD-DVD players make excellent DVD players, they do double duty. If another manufacturer produced a HD-DVD based on their own design and with better performance, I would have purchased it. That didn't happen, hence my choice of manufacturer.

I would bet your problems were user error rather than the fault of Toshiba. You are not that bright you know, and I would fully expect you to mistake the disc drawer for a place to insert bread.

I had a 32" Toshiba, dont know how its "user error" when you just sit and watch a TV.
Started looking cartoonish about six months in, finally died a few years later.
My brother bought a 32" Tosh , a year later model, quit after a year, had it fixed, quit
    six months later.
I bought a tosh DVD player , and if "bread" means money then I did insert it into
this lemon, never played DTS, never got a DTS signal out of it, and severe color banding
90% of the time, wouldnt play half of the DVD's I put in it.
I REPEAT, wouldnt own a Toshiba alarm clock
