I have actually worked with behringer products on a pro sound level and that exact unit to be exact. I could see EQing a sub to be beneficial to taking out stong waves in the room and adding to the weak points. I have not actually got to that point yet but I can see its importance. And to boot the Behringer units are modestly priced as well. A friend of mine in my home town uses some of their equipment in his pro sound rig. the only thing he says against Behringer is their amps are not as reliable as QSC or Crown but otherwise they are not bad components. I did do some frequency response testing in my room using a test disc I burned that has sign wave data form 16 hertz all the way up to 20kilo and I noticed that my sub hits rock bottom on the low end at around 22 hertz which is really good for a 12" woofer in a moderately sized enclosure but I do have an extreme boost centered around the 50 hertz area that I did not have in my house in Joplin so some eq would help me dial this in. At some point I will get to that and balance out my bass response. Good point though.

Read what I SAID, stereo without a left OR a right would sound worse than mono.
AND EVEN with the new lossless stuff, most audio is "legacy", mixed in the old days.
But I don't think that the balance will change much, there are reasons a center is the most
    important speaker.
And don't get me wrong, mr P, DLP is nice, especially
for where you need a large screen, but a RPTV DLP really needs a conventional center,
    IMHO.

I have a conventional center, although it does have identical drivers to my mains.
