*** or better I recommend.

Rocky I liked more when I was a kid - I don't think they hold-up well except for the original whihc had a plausible story. Part three was pretty lame and 4 was another America propaganda piece and 5 was downright terrible.

Halloween II was awful -- let's get away from the scares and go for the gore. One kinows it's a bad horror film when they have to resort to killing characters off by having them slip on blood. Parts three on were bad as well - part 6 being one of the worst films of the horror genre.

Terminator 3 was non-stop action and non-stop boredom. Give me a story please - create a character someone cares about please. The original Terminator I consider to be a classic Romance film supplanted in the Science Fiction/Thriller genre. It propelled Arnold, James Cameron and Linda Hamilton to greater things by escaping the usual by the numbers formula. The film had a strong story, intelligent people and smart unstoppable(almost) adversary. Part 2 held up well adding impressive special effects and retained the elements of the original along the same story arc. Patrt 3 was tacked on rubbish solely to make some bucks. The villain was a complete bore they did nothing with and the internal battle of Arnold was howlingly laughable.

Alien versus Aliens is debateable because I feel the two films are of different genres. Alien is a slasher film in space and an alien instead of a guy in a hiockey mask. In other words it's a straight up horror flick with the killer/alien picking off the crew. Aliens is more ambitious getting into the sci-fi/thriller/action mold with some politics of the future of mankind. But it's less scary perhaps than the original - but they go for more special effects and more story all around. It's in my opinion more watchable on multiple viewings. Alien 3 was caca.

Batman almost got *** on the sheer strength of Jack Nicholson's over-the-top Joker. The problem is that every second he was NOT on the screen Batman was a total crapfest. The Dialogue was just so bad.

Part 2 and 3 were plain boring and Batman and Robin was unexplainably horrid.

The Exorcist was somewhat redeemed by part 3 which was mildly watchable tahnks to George C Scott.
