Wow, last night was a doozy, and the next 3 look to be quite a ride.

First thought is that they are not "dead". That would be too easy. I think that they MAY be in some sort of either parallel, or alternate universe, but not "dead". This could help explain why women die if they get pregnant on the island, but not if they come on the island pregnant.

Must be some sort of immune response, sort of like a foreign object in the body. Thats my guess for that.

I can't wait for Jack to try and rationalize how Juliet is NOT a mole. And how the others are likely to hang her.

And I havn't figured out what Locke is up to, but according to the previews it looks to be exciting.

I hope they can ambush the others when they come lookng for Sun.

All I can say is WOW...this show is so much better than 24.

I got feeling we're headed for the double-swerve...Sawyer will rush in just in time to tell the camp about the tape, and how Juliet is a mole...
And then Jack will say, "I know...we're letting Ben think she's a mole so we can set up a trap for him"...or something along those lines.

Just when Sawyer was playing Mr. Leader and nice guy to everyone, his inner demons regained control and he turns into a cold-blooded killer.

Kinda "Lord of the Flies"-ish, how Sawyer and Locke degenerated into co-conspirators/murderers this episode. Guess they had reasons but...

What is Rousseau doing with the dynamite?

Loved that exchange - "what's in the box?"..."Dynamite"

I don't know about the Jack/Julliet double cross theory, but it could happen. On the other hand, it would have been more prudent to let everyone in on the deal, as they would have been more accepting of Juliett. ( And conversly, more trusting of Jack).

The exchange with Rousseau did not include the "whats in the box?". That was between Saywer, and Locke. Locke asked Rouseeau what she was doint there, and she indicated she needed dynamite. Not much else was said. But it did seem to be an unusual, and somewhat ackward moment.

My guess is that she needs it to kill the "varmits" on the Lost Island Golf Course. It seems that Hurly hired her as the greens keeper.

There definately has to be a bigger picture here...nothing is what it seems. Ben let Locke know that he was listening to a tape, then put it in a drawer where he knew that Locke could (and would) find it.

Ben is so good a manipulating Locke. First he planted the idea that Locke should blow up the Sub, then he got Locke to kill his father (even if it was indirectly...daddy's dead), and he let Locke find Juliet's tape all the time knowing that Locke would tell the people on the Beach about it.

Locke's need to be "special" has turned him into Ben's puppet.

Or...is Locke fully aware of how he's responding to Ben and will Ben end up being Locke's puppet? Hmmmmmmmmmm. Either way, there are some great twists and turns heading our way. I'm sure of it!

    LOL. That's funny!

I loved that exchange between Locke and Rousseau. A classic Lost moment in my books. Both were definately up to something. Rousseau is looking for a lot dynamite. Locke has someone locked in a room and yelling to get out. There was that silent message of "don't ask me and I won't ask you". A magic moment. Brilliantly executed.

Yeah, I knew that...hence the paragraph separation. Locke just told her where the dynamite was so she wouldn't snoop into his murder plot. She didn't seem to care.

There might not be a double swerve, maybe they'll capture Sun and Sawyer will arrive a bit late, but tell the camp about Juliet. Something's gotta give. I don't think it'll be as simple as the awkward moment that would arise if Sawyer just got back to camp and spilled the beans.

Also, we have to expect the dramatic season-finale cliffhanger. We're going to get teased about something so wickedly awesome that we'll be drooling about it until next January or whenever Season 4 starts. Wonder what that could be???

Great epidode! Confirmation that Locke's Daddy was the original Sawyer. The return of Sawyer's childhood letter. I loved that he told Locke to stop calling him James. I'll bet that now, he'll want to stop using the name Sawyer and will tell everyone to call him James...but he won't tell them why.

What is the guy who recruited Juliet (I like to call him Dr. Bright Eyes) doing back on the island and how did he get there?!

What is Rousseau going to do with that box of dynamite?

And...what is it that Juliet wants to tell Kate and that Jack doesn't want her to?

Tune in next time...same Bat time, same Bat channel.

    that's some good eatin'.
    another delicious episode.

"so you want to go to hell!??" wow, that was an intense scene.

now i'm really curious about the jack/julliette alliance...

#1. jack and julliette really are working together, but need to keep whatever they're doing secret from everyone, even if it is for the benefit of everyone.
#2. julliette thinks jack is working with her, but he's really not, he's completely on his own (and to help the losties) but is using julliette to get what he wants and is playing along.
#3. #2, but julliette knows jack is doing it.
#4. Reverse of #2, jack thinks julliette is working with him...
#5. #4, but jack knows julliette is doing it.

    and prolly 42 other variations.

but the other thing that came to me with this whole need for never telling anyone antyhing, is scientific protocol in experiments and (a favorite term in other boards here...) dbt's. the specific withholding of information because you want to see how someone reacts in a vaccuum, etc. just like the ?(pearl?) station video with our sometimes-one-armed-asian-scientist friend's video talking about observation of the pearl station.

Well, if they come across it again, and it has only 3 toes, we will then know what Reausseau is using the dynamite for.

Man-o-man, this is the best show on tv by far! :D

Not much to add that hasn't already been said, although I thought it interesting how they did the backstory this time. Instead of flashing back to the real world, they simply went a week back or so. Interesting.

There is no question to me that Ben is manipulating Locke. It's going to be interesting seeing how the Juliet/Jack thing works out.

    What a show!

I think Juliet will side with the Losties. I think she knows Ben will never let her leave contrary to what he tells her. I think she knows the slim chance of the Losties finding a way off the island is her only hope. Especially now that Penny is "on the hunt". Desmond appears to be everyones ticket off the island and Juliet will latch onto that.

Man, after Rousseau left the ship I kept waiting to hear a huge BOOOM in the distance. Ala, Mr. Professor. Yuck!

Well, if she suspects Ben will NEVER (as you say) leave the island, what is the incentive for her to stay true to the OTHERS?

Rousseau will never die. She is too much of a cloak and dagger player to be killed with some crappy dynamite.

Besides, at some point there has to be a reunion between her and Alex. It would be far too tragic and unsatisfying otherwise.

I think it's to stay alive. The others have made it clear they can kindof do what they want when they want. I think Juliet knows Ben will kill her if she leaves the Others. She is having to play both sides of the coin right now. The Others are essential for Juliet's survival while the Losties very well may be essential to her getting off the island. Or at least the slim chance of getting off. Slim is better than none with the Others.

BTW, I have this gut feeling that the "Big Burly Other", can't remember his name right now, is working with Juliet. I keep remembering back when he brought Jack to see Kate in the building she was being held in. Right before he let Jack in the door, he warned him about the video/mircophones. He put his finger up to his mouth and then pointed at the camera/mics. I think he and Juliet are on the same team. What team that is? Who knows.

48 more and it's all done!
Starting January '08, we'll be down to the last of three 16 episode seasons and th-th-that's all folks! A recent article confirmed that ABC has given Lost an end date for the 2009-2010 season. It was actually a stipulation by two of the shows producers that the network give them a date before they would re-up with the network. This way, they can structure the story to conclude exactly how they've envisioned, an ending that the have had set in stone for quite some time.

Honestly, I think this is terrific news. Not only are we assured of 3 more seasons of viewing bliss, but the story writing will be that much tighter now that they know exactly how to tie everything together given the deadline.

I do wish they'd return the show to its 9:00pm slot, tho. :(

While I am excited we are assured 3 more seasons, I just hope they don't start dragging it out with "fluff" episodes to bridge the 3 years. Before hearing this news, I got the feeling next season would be the last season based on the way the story has moved forward this season. Now, I am afraid they might "stretch" it out with pointless episodes that don't really move the story along. I hope I am wrong because these writers are pretty amazing.

***** Message to Lost writers *****

Please do not allow a couple of characters/stars to produce their own episodes

Please do not do a "Musical" or "Live" show just to keep things fresh.

Please do not create a spin off series with Michael and Walt (OK, maybe do that one?)

And Please, don't jump the Shark!

Nah, I'll do it here. The Favortie Films (primarily the Lost thread) and Off Topic forums are about the only forums here I read and participate in anymore. Might as well hit the 1k marker here.

Not to many people left around anymore who know me anyway. Hell, I got accused of being Lex by that LikeitLoud guy after I surfaced from an extended hiatus (sp?).

Yeah LikeitLoud, you thought I forgot about that didn't ya? :nono: , :p
