AN Turntables for a poster request.

Hey Dean and other member fo the Rat Pack. You wanted me to post here.

Firstly after their SET amps AN is heavy into making turntables. AN does not believe in re-inventing the wheeel when it's not necessary so like buying the Snell rights, Audio Note also bought Voyd and the rights to SystemDek. So I think they now make 5 turntbles. The Basic Turntable One or TT1 is based off the SystemDekIIX. You then buy the Arm 1 and Cart 1 with it. The Arm is a modified (re-wired) Rega 250 and the MM Cart is a re-worked Goldring.(can't remember the number). This set-up has won product of the year 2 years in a row from What Hi-FI. I think it clocks in at 700GBP including arm and cart.

The TT2 is a two motor drive and the TT3 is the Voyd Table.

They have new one that has 3 power supplies per motor and a control box to adjust speed etc. Check it out. The whole middle column is part of the turntable. http://www.audionote.co.uk/feature/m...ilan_main.html

I can;t review one because I have not listened long enough - but long enough to know That I don't need to worry about Linn. But my dealer carries Linn and Rega and Pro-ject so it will be fun A/B comparisons when the time comes.

    RGA,

Your post has NOT been edited in anyway. Only the title was changed. Using members names in a thread title is problematic. If you would like the title changed to something else that's OK too. I tried to reach you via PM to ask you to change it, but you do not have that feature activated.

Thanks, RGA. It looks like you're going to have quite a shootout on your hands when you go to audition tables. I've seen the AN TT1 on audiogon a couple of times. I just haven't gotten around to looking up reviews, etc. Thanks again for the info.
