Sansui Au 117

Hello everyone im new here and i need some help

i have a sansui AU-117 intergrated amplifier and it has a problem, it powers up fine but if you turn the volume to full the music is not very loud about normal talking loudness and then when you turn the amplifier off the music becomes extremely loud (the amplifiers true volume) for about 3 seconds and turns off presumbly becaus it is out of power.

Can anyone help me i would be very grateful for any help even if your not sure it will work. I am prepared to do soldering if needed
