    Kef Cadenza rotted surrounds

Hi everyone. I recently got given a pair of old Kef Cadenza speakers (a downsight better than my aging Sony bookshelfs!) which are in perfect working order apart from the rubber surround on the passive driver bit. I'm wondering if anyone knows where I could buy some new surrounds - since they are a strange elliptical shape I haven't been able to find anything.

    Thanks in advance.

These links might help somewhat....you can get a B139 woofer (oval) and remove the magnet. this will leave you with a very similar passive radiator

Are you sure the surrounds were not foam ? the early models were foam, later models rubber.

Thanks for the help - I just won a pair of ABRs on ePay for £30 including shipping, I should get these up and running soon! I hope I didn't pay over the odds here.

I think you paid a great price for these ABRs, considering what a great sounding and selling speaker that was. You could pay a little more for the new KEF designed by Apple's Ross Lovegrove.

Price? A paltry $140,00.00 US a pair, plus tax of course.
