It's right up there with his best albeit a little darker due to the subject matter. Strong performances by all and good SQ. PM me an' I could sent ya a copy.

Yeah. It seems more introspective than some of the later works, like The One, etc. Reminds me of some of the seventies tunes, when he was crankin' em up at the pub and wowin' the girls and boys in the candlelight glow, there....(Poetic moment; sorry.)

Somewhere in this thread...I've forgotten where...I was reminded of Phoebe Snow's self-titled album. It's been one of the busiest LPs around here ever since. The cover is a little worn but the vinyl is good as new.

been listenin' to A Ass Pocket of Whiskey - RL Burnside w/Jon Spencer Blues Explosion a lot lately. Great driving blues. The collaboration kinda falls apart on the last track, but it's solid up til then.

That Phoebe Snow s/t is so great...gets frequent spins in my house, we esp. seem to pull it out during sit-down dinners...

picked up a ton of vinyl this past week:
James Brown - live at the Apollo '62
    Andrew Bird - Noble Beast
Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion
    The Sadies - New Seasons
    David Bowie - Lodgers
Angels of Light - Sing Other People
    P.O.S. - Never Better
    Mark Lanegan Band - Bubblegum
    Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland
...all getting some love and quite a few good spins.

Below tunes keep me going at night, but it's always nice to hear Erykah and Big John.

Each have their own favs but for getting into Classical I highly recommend Vivaldi and Mozart. Can't really go wrong with much in that Baroque period, I'm a sucker for some good fiddle playin.
