    Call me a traditionalist...

    (aka: old) but one of the most evocative solos in rock was Eric Clapton's in "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". If that doesn't sound like instrumental crying, I don't know what does.

    I know that this is not "prog rock" by today's yardstick, but it was for the time
