Going to see Luna in October. It's been 12 years since the last time I saw them...

...and they split up short after that. I was really surprised they were doing a reunion tour.

Just saw X at the Underground Arts in Philly last month. I'm not a huge punk fan, but they did a decent job, albeit without Billy Zoom. I guess he wasn't in such great shape, and others lamented that he's been missing quite a lot.

Next up are The Jayhawks on 9/11, then Built To Spill on 9/22, followed by the Luna show on October 5th.

I don't have much coming up. Rheostatics are doing a trio of reunion shows at the Art Gallery of Ontario on labour day weekend. Tickets are limited to 500 per show. We managed to score tickets to the Sunday show. Although this band was a staple of the Toronto music scene for 30 years before they broke up, and I did see them once many years ago, I really only started to get into them just before their break-up. I never thought I'd have the chance to see them live again so I'm pretty excited.

We're also seeing Tears for Fears in September with BarryL (if anyone remembers him) and his lovely wife.

Luna is probably one of the first bands I talked about around here, long time ago, cool that they are doing some shows. I didn't really connect too much with Dean's last record, but that G500/Luna sound is probably entangled within my DNA double helix now, glad to see you living the dream. Keep it up.

OK, that last part may be a stretch, but speaking of hacks, did you watch the first season of Mr Robot? What a great show, and some really nice music selections throughout the episodes too. Very cool.
