    I haven't really kept up much either, but I know Animal Collective's Merriweather Post Pavillion is getting a ton of praise, but it's also a 2009 release. P4K picked Kid A, of all things, as the best of the decade.

    For me, I have given it virtually no thought, but two that I keep coming back to are The Shins' Oh, Inverted World and Okkervil River's Black Sheep Boy. But then there was Blessed Black Wings and The Meadowlands and probably a bunch I'm not thinking of off the top of my head.
    And the world will turn to flowing pink vapor stew.

    and as much as I *appreciate* KID A.. I just haven't connected with it, so it wouldn't make my top 10 or even 20.. but then there's "How to Disappear Completely" which, OTOH, is one of the best songs of the decade..
    If being afraid is a crime we'll hang side-by-side,
    at the swingin' party down the line..
