Yes, I used to own a pair of 1.6QR for about a year. I had them paired with BAT-VK3i and HCA-2. I thought they sounded aweful, but I start to think they might had been too large for my room. My livingroom is 16x16 with additional 10 feet of extension behind my listening position.
I had been thinking about getting a pair with modified crossover for a while now, and I was luck enough to find a pair. Hopefully these modified pair will allow me to hear what others are so excited about. They shoulod arrive on Wednesday.

I would tell you though that when I got my 3.6's I nearly threw out my entire CD collection! What these speakers "unmasked" from the recordings wasn't all that pretty for the most part. Only a few disks sounded good until I got my present CD player, and even then STILL only about 50% of them are good to "tolerable". However some like HDCD encoded ones and the JVC Superdisks are scary good though.
