    There's a certain wry perfection in that. From Buckle v. Valeo to the recent Shays-Mehan Bill both the courts and Congress have been tapdancing around the issue of "soft money" with both the Republicans and the Democrats laughing their arses to the bank.

    If you doubt it, check out the amount of advertising you see for cosmetics, personal care products, and that classic of consumer price gouging, cold breakfast cereals.
