    PS3 Battery Issues

It took some time but I was able to dig up some info on the PS3 Controller battery issue that was brought up a few weeks ago.

It does appear that this controller does indeed have a rechargable battery pack, but it is NOT removable. Charging is done via USB cable attached to console. Battery life is approx 30 hours.

Interestingly enough, it appears that you MAY have to plug your controller in EVERY time you power down the system and want to play later. This is so the controller can "initialize" its blutooth connection. This seems a bit odd, as the 360 doesn't have to ever be attached unless you want to charge it up. Or, if that is not your cup of tea, hot swap out another battery.

Seems interesting that you have to chuck a perfectly good controller once the battery ceases to charge further. Kinda stoopid really. But, I guess Sony doesn't want to market rechargable batteries any more than they have to.
