    Cool Blu-ray Encodes It's First Movie

    Charlie's Angel's Full Throttle is the first Blu-Ray disc produced & also they used mpeg-2 to encode it in full 1920x1080. no word if it's 1080i or 1080p. so stay tuned !

    Being 1080i or 1080p is not product of software (disc), but rather product of hardware (device that play or show it).

    I think the films on discs are stored frame by frame in digital format and player can process each frame in interlaced mode (1080i) or if capable in progressive mode (1080p). So it will be up to player or monitor (if it can upconvert interlace to progressive) to upconvert.
