Yamaha RX-A1000...sure hope it's an upgrade!

Glad to hear this as i'm 50/50 in the market for a new receiver. I have an outboard amp so i just need HDMI and the processor side of things. I'm looking at the V667 model or a refurbed Marantz SR5004.
Can you give us an update on your opinion of this AVR?

Tarheel, if you like, you could trans over to (A4Less) they have a bunch of factory refresh receivers they're authorized refurbish dealers for Onkyo,Marantz and a bunch of other manufactures, the SR5004 is the older model the SR5005 is new... they just added, Cambridge Azur 540R and 640R series to their list also
