    AR power conditioner/protector

I was looking at some AR power conditioner/ surge protectors on their website. Different models have different $$ amounts listed next to them, from like 25k to 100k. Is this like insurace provided by them to your audio gear? So if you re house is hit by lightning and your stuff breaks while its hooked up to this thing, they replace it? Do they work?

Yes, that's the basic idea, and, of course, a selling point. But, I suspect, like other insurance deals, they're not just going to give money away in the event that tragedy were to strike.
