    sub placement question

Can i put my sub behind the AV cabinet? The AV cabinet is like a wardrobe, its quite big and is diagonally in the corner, the triangle space behind the cabinet is where i have put the sub, but it sounds different, too much higher frequency content. I have tried fiddling with the cut off but it doesn’t sound as nice as it did when it was in direct line if sight of the listener. Are their any tricks to hiding a sub behind stuff? or should they be in plain view?

    cheers

You can put the sub anywhere. You should LEAVE it where it sounds best. If you don't like the sound of it in a particular place, that's not the place for it.

Soldering is the best way to extend speaker wires if you have to. Just do it right with some good solder and a high end soldering station and wrap it with heat shrink.
