    recording internet broadcasts??

I am interested in using my computer to record internet broadcasts and burn them to a conventional CD for playback. Is there a way to do this? Is this illegal? If this is not easy to do then my second question is ...How do I make a CD of an FM broadcast. Thanks.

Any decent audio editing software package will record in real time. Just set the Windows (i assume) record mixer to record from the wave input only and set the levels to the meters in the recording application.

If the audio streams are mp3, I know people who have liked
    http://streamripper.sourceforge.net/
There are also several applications for shoutcast streams which I think are also mp3. Just Google shoutcast ripper

StationRipper will rip streaming audio into mp3 format, then you could burn it to wav or mp3 cd
