When I had my Klipsch Heresys I thought the tube amp I had added a little more to the lower end.
Heresys tended to be little light on the lower end and my guess is that if your 3.5's are similar to my KG 4's they cover the lower end pretty well.
After a day of listening using my Dynaco SCA-35 I would say these got the bass better than my other speakers. They don't even need to be pushed much to get the low end.

Compared to the Polks r50 that I got, the Klipsch got better low end however the polks are better in the mids and highs!
