    Speaker and tone control question

Is it alright to add bass to my speakers via tone control or leave the bass flat on my receiver and let my sub do all the work as far as lows are concerned, my woofers on my fronts and surrounds range from size 6 and a half (fronts) to 5 and a half (surrounds) .

Well, you can do whatever you want. As long as it sounds good to you than that's all that matters.

Are you refering to music or movies?

Most of the time, you'd wanna go ahead and let the sub do it's job. I have all my speakers set to small so all the bass is directed to my sub at the xover point. I see no reason to have my surrounds producing bass.
