I am thinking of replacing my old Sound Dynamics 300ti, purchased in 1998. I am considering moving to the realm of ribbon speakers, and have been looking into the Magnepan MMG and the Martin Logan Source.

The manufacturer of my Music Hall a 25.2 integrated amp (50W per channel) said he didn't recommend the MMG's because they could blow the amp. Audio Review, who sell the ML Source, said this shouldn't be a problem with the ML's.

Can anyone tell me for sure if I'm running any risks by pairing my amp with the ML Sources? And, will the Sources be a big sound improvement on the Sound Dynamics 300ti (very much revered in their day)? If it is not worth taking the plunge, I might as well send the SD's for repair.
