In Need of Some Audiophiles Opinions

I am in the market for a new pair of floor standing tower speakers.
I am interested & liking the reviews on the KLH Kendalls - duel 6-1/2 inch drivers with a 5-1/4 inch midrange & a 1" tweeter rated up to 250 watts.
They are on the higher side of my budget though at $1,300 a pair.
My question is, are they really worth it? Or should I go with something like a pair of Energy Connoisseur CF-70's?
Also duel 6-1/2 inch drivers with a 5-1/4 mid & a 1" tweeter rated up to 300 watts. Get new on EBay for $520 a pair.
I will be driving them with a Yamaha RX-V995, it pushes about 100 watts per channel.
    Thoughts & Opinions wanted!

Well no one replied so I wound up getting a new pair of the Energy CF-70's.
I was going to go with the new KLH Kendall's but then I found the Energy's on sale on newegg.com. Brand-new for $174.99 each. 10 years ago these speakers went for over $1,000 a pair & I just found them new for $350 a pair. I couldn't pass that deal up!
Still interested in others opinions though. Let me know what y'all think.

I didn't get the Kendal's. I went with the new pair of CF-70's. They were only $350 for the pair & were still new in the original boxes.
They aren't bad, sound pretty decent to my ears but do require some "breaking in" time.
