    how to audition in-wall speakers

building a 2 channel system in a large living room....thinking about going in-wall and don't have many choices above the best buy/CC stuff. Local shops don't have much to listen to.

Has anyone else auditioned mid-high end in-walls? I'm looking at some competitive prices online, but without hearing them...you know what i mean.

    any help out here.?

budget is $400 for a pair and i will be listening to LPs and Sirius radio...mainly soft stuff like Jazz through an older 1980s receiver. Going retro i guess you can say.

    thanks,

Why in-walls? From what I've seen in-wall speakers are very HT and background music specializing. I'm not the most experienced person but if you're going 2-way you're after sound quality and clarity....why not get a good set of bookshelves?
