    Those speakers look cool but they're a bit too portable. I just want something smallish you see. Those are nice and small but I'm only goin to transport them once a term, so they don't need to be fold away or anything as far as that.
    I really like the size of the harman karon soundsticks, if it wasn't for the fact that I had to buy the subwoofer as well. The satellite themselves are the kind of thing I'm interested in, well that size anyway!

    IMO the T-amp is a must for your application.Its small,can be run on 8 double As or AC adapter,Comes with a jack that will fit into your laptop,and very positive reviews.Hope this helps..

    Thanks, but what I don't understand is why I'd need the T-amp? Is it because these speakers don't come with an AC cable?

    Yes.This gives you the option to purchace any speaker and use the T-amp to power them.The T-amp is small(will fit in the palm of your hand)and rated at 15 wpc into 4ohms.The swans TS posted look nice.The web site does not mention if they are powered.
