    JBL Decade 26's (studio monitors)

I currently have a pair of the JBL Decade 26's. I factory rep years ago advised me not to get rid of them and they are very very good speakers. Anyone have advise about these?

If these are what I think they are...

...they are a two way system (10" woofer and ?" tweeter) in a wooden cabinet and attractive stretch fabric grille. They were made about 30 years ago as one of JBL's first attempt at marketing a reasonably priced speaker ($130 in early 70's $$).

They were quite nice. didn't have quite the "west coast" sound JBL was known for at that time. I liked 'em. ...but they were made for home use, not studio moniters. Still, I'd hang on to 'em. If you don't have the room, I'll hold onto 'em for ya.

Of course, JBL had been known to reuse names since then and if this is the case, all bets are off.
