Athena and Best Buy

How long has Best Buy been carrying the Athena speakers and are they likely to continue carrying them for some time to come? The reason I ask is that I'm about to purchase a pair of floor standing speakers and would like to get the center speaker later. I've read that it is important to have all three be of the same brand and I don't want to be caught in a situation where I can't find an Athena center speaker later on down the road.

Don't you have other dealers in town that sell Athena too?
If you not waiting more than a few years to get that centre channel, I think it will be ok.
No one can predict the future, but I wouldnt worry too much about it

As far as putting off the center channel, I'd say it's more a factor of how long before Athena redesigns the line than a factor of BB stopping selling it. In any case, www.AudioAdvisor.com sold these before BB and will probably sell the last Athenas when that day comes.

And no, I haven't heard anything about a redesign but I wouldn't put off the purchase of a center indefinitely. Times change and so do speaker versions.
