$600-$700 budget for pc sound system, need recommendations!

hey guys! merry christmas! alright im new to audio stuff and need help badly! any suggestions for a sound system for that price?

i heard a lot of recommendations to get the audioengine A5 but i want to ask for your opinions.

    this is the scenario:

    1)my room size is about 19ft X 15ft

2)this is the room where i sleep/study/watch movies/listen to music etc.

3)my computer usage is as such-60% music 30% videos and 10% games

4)i will be listening music or watching movies from quite a distance as im using a TV as my monitor

any suggestions will be good. thanks a lot =D

Another option (besides active powered speakers) would be to get something like a Creative SoundBlaster USB -

and then hook it up to any audio system you like. How about that and a NAD integrated -

and a pair of Energy bookshelf speakers -

What he said! Hook up your computer to a Receiver or Integrated amp and a pair of real speakers and possibly a sub if you go with small speakers. If you got an AVR you could do 3.1/5.1 sound for movies.
Pass Labs X250 amp, BAT Vk-51se Preamp,
Thorens TD-145 TT, Bellari phono preamp, Nagaoka MP-200 Cartridge
    Magnepan QR1.6 speakers
    Luxman DA-06 DAC
Van Alstine Ultra Plus Hybrid Tube DAC
Dual Martin Logan Original Dynamo Subs
    Parasound A21 amp
    Vintage Luxman T-110 tuner
    Magnepan MMG's, Grant Fidelity DAC-11, Class D CDA254 amp
Monitor Audio S1 speakers, PSB B6 speakers
    Vintage Technic's Integrated amp
    Music Hall 25.2 CDP
    Adcom GFR 700 AVR
    Cables- Cardas, Silnote, BJC
    Velodyne CHT 8 sub

You need larger speakers for that size room. Considering your budget I'd look at the Cambridge Soundworks Model 6 at $149 a pair shipped from Amazon. The model 6's have large drivers and don't require a sub but you can add a bass cube for $100 more. These offer great bang for the buck and were voiced by the late great Henry Kloss.

For Power look at the Maverick Audio Tube Magic A1 amp for $199 and the Tube Magic D1 DAC for $199.
