    Announcement: AudioReview.com Site Redesign

    Hey Gang,

In the next few days we will be launching a new design for AudioReview.com. It's much nicer and a updated look.

The forums will also have it's vbulletin software upgraded tomorrow (tuesday) night. You might experience a few bumps along the way, but hopefully everything goes smooth! We've been working on this for a while now, I'm excited to finally get it out the door!

Dear Sir, Your update is incredibly stupid. As an audiophile I object to being bombarded by ridiculous games and offers to buy useless junk. User review under the old style system were very valuable for those who follow older or vintage equipment. The new system is useless. Registering to access those reviews is one thing but to completely complicate the process makes your site useless. For me glitz means nothing. Regarding the forums, perhaps those who post and follow the threads will find the opening page more to their liking. Myself, I liked the system of having alphabetized manufactuers easily available and then listings of the the various user reviews via model available. This made searching for new or older models simpler and comparisons of various models within manufactures much easier to do. Perhaps this could be resurrected through the login process if that idea is to put infront of the user all those pretty but pretty useless ads and games. Regards, Richard

Glad you like it! Hey it looks like it got you to register! Nice first post!
Be patient man it's not complete at all.

You don't have to register to read anything. You do have to register to post. I don't see the big deal in that.

Games? What games are you talking about?

    cheers bud

That's what I was wondering. And the home page went back to the old version. Did that happen to anyone else?

Yes, it is the old version. But I hope for the new home version, Eric bring back the photo of a girl with headphone that for a long time used to be on the home page.

    Fellas,

in case you didn't know, there are plenty of other sites on the internet that have hot, naked girls on them. This site is more like the old man's dive bar. You're not here for the girls!

The launch a few days ago was just a "sneek peak" (aka: an accident!). The site should be launched TONIGHT (Tuesday, Feb 28, 11pm pst). There will also be a forums upgrade so expect downtime, and the occasional issue to come up..

    muchas gracias
    eric

Now I'm really disapointed. I was hoping you were going to turn it into the first Audio-Porn site on the web!
