MS Sues to halt DRM breaker

MS has sued to stop a hacker from putting out a crack to MS's DRM program for digital music playback. It appears that this program circumvents the DRM for subscription music (and video). Once used, the files no longer require the "Key" to continue to work after your subscription has lapsed.

MS issued a patch shortly after this crack was released. The hacker then issued an update, and MS responded with another patch. Currently the hacker is ahead, but no doubt MS will release another patch shortly.

    Pretty interesting read.

Of course using music after your subscription is illegal, and should not be condoned. Howevver if you are so inclined the program can be found with a simple google search. I don't know if it works as I don't have any music subsriptions.

    Cheers!
