    Anybody hear anything about this?

I heard that there is going to be a 3rd format for delivering TV programming, an alternative to cable or satelite. But that's all I heard, does anyone have an idea what this is?

i heard something a while ago.... its this big triangle thing that'll be put ontop of your tv and zap images directly into and out of your brain. they showed a demo of it in the movie Batman and Robin, it was the Riddler's prototype and should be in production by 2008.

Yeah! That has to be it, the person mentioned IP. This was on a radio show and I only got part of what was said. Do you know anything about it? Could it really be an alternative to cable or satelite. I'm thinking with "IP" it may have to do with my computer which will automatically rule it out for me.

    Thanks for the tip

Gotta love Google. Seems IPTV is Microsoft's way to make their next trillion dollars. But instead of being a third alternative to deliver entertainment content, it seems they are trying to get cable and other providers on board with them. IPTV could be the wave of the future and the link that ties everything together audio, video, interactivity, portable viewing on demand, etc. One story even talked about the consumer being able to customize their own channel and program content. A study done in several countries showed that price is a consistent concern by a high percentage.
