OK, not really me. Just saw the sad news that long time review site Splendid has decided that enough is enough and calling it quits, although if they can round up backing they may be back in a different guise. Just too much music out there. A site really has to pick a sound and audience, and then target them directly. You just can't be so diverse and solicit review samples from everyone. The downside is that, just like in the music industry, a few sites with a narrow outlook will ultimately dominate the scene and by proxy, dictate what is popular. The internet slowly comes of age.
