R.E.M. New album, new tour
R.E.M. is set to release a new album called Accelerate on April 1. I've got the radio on at work and they just played a bit of the first single which sounded excellent! To promote the album they will be touring with The National and Modest Mouse as support. Nice.
Here are the tour date so far, copied from their web site.

Each time they've played here the show has sold out in minutes and I've yet to be able to catch them. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this time round.
I may see them but only because the National is also...
...going to be there, along with Modest Mouse. Those two bands interest me more than R.E.M. at this point. Show is in MD on June 11th, so I'll be checking with some friends to see if they want to go. Of course, this will probably sell out so fast we won't have a chance to get tickets, but you never know.
