Question Is this an Original AC/DC First edition High Voltage CD??

Hi the actual CD is silver with Blue colored stripes on it. Also it is Manufactured by Victor Company Of Japan. A division of Atlantic Recording Corporation.

    ATCO Records 7567-90410-2
PS: Im pretty sure what I have is not the 1990's remastered version as it has a different upc.

Why would it matter? Some of those original CD's were digitized poorly.

Remastered are always worth a listen, and then decide. Some are garbage and some are quite amazing.

    Really? Why?

And if you feel that way, why buy CDs at all? Why not just stick to vinyl?

I like both formats & some of the bonus tracks & extra features I just don't care about the sound just isn't that good to me. I bought this CD along with several other AC/DC CD's all at the wonderful FYE. I am listening to what I believe is the Original High Voltage CD as we speak.

The last time I was there and priced a recent release at about $17.50 + 6% PA sales tax, I vowed never to set foot in that place again, and I haven't. I can go on line and find most new released for less than $13.00, sometimes under $10, with no tax and free shipping.
I call my bathroom Jim instead of John so I can tell people that I go to the Jim first thing every morning.

If it was manufacrured in Japan, then it may very well be an original, though an import, which in my experiences, both Germany and Japan had different mastering standards, so your copy might sound different from an original US release anyway.

because there is a train of thought out there in audiophilia, that first issue CDs are superior to remastered reissues, because reissues are a trick to get us to buy the same album twice. Its one of those mass acceptence, Emperor's New Clothes things that occur in audiophilia that is next to impossible to prove/disprove and you run into the same audiophile rehtoric that comes up when discussing exotic pricing...if you can't hear how much better first issue CDs sound, then you aren't using the right equipment, green marker, isopods, anti-jitter glitter, blah blah blah

I believe mine is an import from Germany the back cover insert says printed in the USA. Copyright is 1976 actual release date 1990. Sounds exactly like the original US Release the inserts & booklet are printed in english as is the actual writing on the CD. It is also sung in english too.

if its a German import, it'll say 'made in Germany'

Don't you usually have to play some sort of instrument to be considered a musician?

    This is the original pressing:

IDK however Bon Scott played Bagpipes on the High Voltage Album. No it's not that is the pressing for other countries.
