NP: The New U2

WXRT in Chicago is playing the new U2 release, How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, in its entirety as I type this. I'm hearing track 6 right now...so far, it sounds like vintage stuff.

If you don't care, that's fine. But I'm just saying, so far/so good. Very good, in fact.

Heard there's one insane station somewhere that's playing it non-stop all day long. Now, that might be a bit much.

Looking forward to hearing it myself.

Yes, Jim, as it turns out...that was WXRT! I didn't realize when I posted yesterday that they would be playing it continuously throughout the day. I can't imagine how tiresome that would be for the station personnel...especially the jocks.

Anyway, I listened all the way through a couple of times. It is very radio-friendly and tuneful hard-pop. Just the sort of thing that made them popular in the first place, and just what you'd expect based on the Apple commercial.

Which version is everyone getting?? I'm picking up the basic cd w/ DVD one.
