    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I'd say 80% of those artists write better songs than Jack White ever could come close to doing. I'll give you Poison and Warrant.

I'd say 98% of those bands could play circles around Jack white on guitar, take away Corey Hart & Huey Lewis who are not really guitar oriented artists. Let's get down to brass tacks here..Winger..Reb Beach could slaughter Jack White on guitar. Whitesnake...Steve Vai..Adrian Vandenberg? Please. Jack White couldn't tune their guitars. Tesla..Frank Hannon..Tommy Skeoch..real guitarists. Dokken..George Lynch..nuff said. Have you actually listened to these people play?

Power Station? Tony Thompson is a legend. Robert Palmer is a legend. RIP both of them.

And pretty much any guitar player that can get a record deal these days can play better than Muddy Waters or just about any old blues artist you wanna pick, despite the fact that those fellas changed the history of music, which I think you'd be hard pressed to argue that Whitesnake did...so what's your point?

Am I saying White Stripes are changing music history? No; I'm just pointing out that arguing that technical profiency is the main point of music is really hard to do, especially if you're a rock fan. I mean honestly...is your favorite artist really always the one who plays technically the best?

Wow...I am a believer that its all about taste, but that someone can honestly put Winger and Tesla and those over the White Stripes just points out how true indeed that is.

Well, if those are 'real guitarists,' and the guys from the Power Station are legends, then I'll just have to go on listening to a bunch of stuff I guess you don't like, regardless of how un-legendary the people are who are making it. And if it's going to be all about guitar ability, I'll be just fine on this side of the fence with guys like Danny Gatton, Brian Setzer, Dick Dale, & Johnny Thunders. Hopefully none of them would've been able to tune Steve Vai's guitar, either. Good thing Les Paul & Django Reinhardt had no influence on hair metal, we sure would've missed out on one of rock's finer eras.

Lastly, outside of degenerating into 'my music is better than yr music,' I think we can end this here by noting that I won't be showing up to yr next barbecue unless you're hiring me to DJ. Have yr girl call my girl, we'll discuss it over lunch, hmm?

    I don't like others.
