    New Flower Kings This Week?

I think I recall that the release date on the new FK double CD was tomorrow.

If anyone hears it, let me know what you think.

Stolt has already said there is a lot of filler, but he doesn't give a hoot.

Just as long as there are one or two killers, it's worth it.

Their last two albums have succeeded in this regard.

    Well...he oughtta know!

I quite liked that Stolt has had a reduced lyrical/singing role in the last CD, Adam & Eve, as well as his side projects. His constant attempts at inflecting humor or sarcasm into his lyrics is just so off-putting. Not cuz he slags the hand he wished he could feed from, but because he sucks at it. He should just play guitar, something he's great at...when he wants to be.

I've read elsewhere that it was a return to the days of Space Revolver and Stardust We Are, much loved albums for some, hit-n-miss albums for me.

I really liked A&E, and hoped to hear more like it.

How do you rate the releses before A&E? (anyone?)

You need to give them time

I think Retropolis is a must have. Songs like Magic Pie are outstanding.

And Stardust We Are has some good stuff, including the 25 minute title track. But this music needs more than a few listens, or else it all sounds the same.

All of those early CDs were doubles, so there is a ton of material. If you don't get FK fatigue, then you should pick them all up, including Stolt's first two solo albums, both of which are instrumental (The Flower King and Hydrophobia (?)).

The Rainmaker is my least favorite.

I have The Flower King and I like it. I haven't ever heard of Hydrophobia before now...maybe I'll look it up.

I'm sure I ordered mine from Radiant Records.

    Try amazon.com also.
