When I bought my power strip another requirement was that it had to have an 8' power cord, because I wanted to have instant access so I could pull the plug in case of emergency. It required moving the VCR over so I could get the strip closer to the end of the entertainment center and then plug it in around the corner in the dining room. In the past I'd just plug it in wherever the closest outlet was (generally behind the entertainmet center) since the cords on most of the strips were usually short. Granted, I can't beat a lightning strike to the outlet, but it just gives me a little better sense of security.

Do I get any points for pointing out the misspelling of the word determined in your sig? :confused5:

Oh man. This is a tough room. I'm lucky to get "Mike" spelled correctly.
    OK, points for you too.

Sorry to hear about you loss, Swish.

Too bad they won't replace the unit -- that's what a company like Monster should be doing.

Glad to hear the Rotel is OK. We have several Rotties and absolutely love them.

Keep posting on RR, man. In fact, I've got a PC question for RR.

    I'll post now,

OK - Rich - I didn't respond to your post, I was responding to Troy's. But as far as reading too much into something, maybe you should let Swish determine whether or not he was served well in his original post.

I'm not arguing over whether this place is a clique or not...so what if it is? People post when they have something to say, and they don't post when they don't have something to say. Look it up. When someone posts something about a band they like, other posters respond if they like the same band, or if they have interest in the same genre, or they don't post at all if they could care less. So what? If I post about a band and no one lurking that day shows interest, then I'll take the post elsewhere, if I indeed want feedback. Why? Because its about information and yes, sharing. But I don't want someone to post some obligatory response like,
"Hey, I've never heard of them but I'm glad you've found a band you like!!!":2:

I heard a rumor that the Eagles might be looking to trade McNabb.

And I hate the Cowboyz with a passion.

Good. He didn't add much value on that Hell Freezes Over album.

OK, I'll be honest...I didn't realize that he was talking football until a few posts down...I was trying to figure out why you couldn't like the Eagles and live in Dallas...then I went

I have a whole house surge protector built into my electrical system :p (except for the 440 volt line in the garage, which obviously is on its own breaker box)

    So far, so good
