It's gonna be a busy October

4 shows confirmed, including one in November and at least one more on my maybe list (I feel like I'm back in college again).

Oct. 2nd - Yo La Tengo; At the top of my must-see list, this one I can't wait for

Oct. 16 - Metric; I'm a little wishy-washy on this one, not my favorite band - they might have to win me over

Oct. 21 - The Raveonettes; Saw them a couple of years ago and very much enjoyed it. Should be fun

Nov. 20 - The Dropkick Murphys; I better get into shape for these guys...

I'd also really like to see The Black Heart Procession on Nov. 4th and maybe even the Airborne Toxic Event on Oct. 18th, but I think I'm pushing it.

I really think you should check out The Black Heart Procession. They put on a good show.
And the world will turn to flowing pink vapor stew.

I caught about 4 songs each from both the Ravonettes and the Airborne Toxic Event about a month ago, and liked everything that I heard.

It's at a favorite venue of mine, called Le National, capacity is about 750 - small enough to be intimate but not so small that you feel bad for the band playing such a small venue. I've recently seen Built to Spill, Wire and The Raqveonettes there and all were grat shows.

Good enough for me - I'll see you there.
