    Eff Pea: Comps

Thanks muchly for the 'AOR' mailing with the three comps inside. I appreciate the ZZ Top a bunch...been listening to it the last coupla days.

You probably realize that a lot of the stuff you listen to is better suited to my son's tastes (in fact, he LOVES the stuff you send), but I gotta tell you that I'm really quite impressed with your bud's son's band Shadrack. "Fit" is the best tune on your very good 'All Over the Map' comp. It certainly isn't typical of a genre that often sounds as if the same vocalist fronts every band. I also like the Eek a Mouse tune, though I'm not sure I can say why. It certainly isn't like any other reggae I've ever heard.

I'm gradually getting to the rest of the stuff you sent. The Yep Rock Harp comp is going to work with me and Lucinda Williams tomorrow (Lucinda for the ride in; and harp for the ride home).

Thanks again dood. I really appreciate your generosity.

I'm going to get another couple of comps wrapped up this weekend...just the same old Blues guitar wanking I've been wasting postage on for the last three years, but I'm sending 'em to you anyway. Sorry.

    I knew that.

You're welcome! Looking forward to your next installment(s).

    Thanks from me, too

I've just now gotten a chance to listen to both discs. I particularly liked tracks 8, 11, 15, 20 and 21 on the second disc (sorry, but when you're listening at 80 MPH, you can't really check the artist names).

Anyway once I resolve my current hard drive problems at home, you should be getting some more disky goodness from me.

    Thanks again!
