Geddy Lee and the Toronto Blue Jays

Tonight I was at the Blue Jay/Yankee game. We had fantastic seats provided by one of our suppliers. 11 rows behind home plate. And, as it turned out, about 50 feet from Geddy Lee.

We waited in our seats for the crowd to clear and Geddy to leave. I didn't want to disturb him by asking for a picture or autograph, I just wanted to be paparazzi for a minute and snap a quick candid photo. As he walked within 10 feet of me, I snapped the picture on my phone....only to have my freakin' phone freeze on me! ****ing iPhone! No picture, just a blank screen. Maybe it was karma. Or maybe it's just time for a new phone.

    DAMN!

Hey FA, do you think Geddy could be a season ticket holder? If you can get the tickets again, bring a camera, just in case.

He is definately a season ticket holder. We knew that. But he's a busy guy and I'm not sure how many games he actually goes to. Now that know where his seats are, we can keep an eye out for him if we attend other games.

I thought for sure that security would escort him out through the dugout. But he just waited for the crowd to clear and walked out like everyone else. I did watch him turn down a few requests for photos with him though. That's why I didn't bother asking. He seemed very nice about it and I can certainly understand why he would say no. It looks like he might have been there with his Dad, judging by the age of his companion.

The stupid thing is that I was going to take my camera and, at the last minute, pulled it out of my purse because I didn't think I'd actually use it.

BTW, I'm getting a new iPhone today. After doing some research it looks like the problems that I was having yesterday are the beginning of the end for my current phone. Talk about ****ty timing!

Maybe the phone "voted no" on capturing his birdlike visage for posterity...

I'll bet you could find a picture of him of the internets. That should make you feel better.

    ....he so ugly!
I call my bathroom Jim instead of John so I can tell people that I go to the Jim first thing every morning.

If you say the word 'gullible' very slowly it sounds just like oranges.

Well if history tells us one thing.............Being ugly and being a rock star isn't a bad thing. They still seem to hook up with incredible women.

Maybe on the surface of it but the womenfolk do seem to draw some distinction between looking twiggy and androgynous and appearing and sounding like a prehistoric bird...I believe social scientists call it the Phil Collins Syndrome...

Well, he's been married to the same woman since 1976, so I don't think that attracting the chicks was high on his priority list.
